Konica Minolta among the top one per cent of suppliers in the global ecoVadis rating

With the Gold rating, Konica Minolta Inc. has received the highest distinction possible in the global ecoVadis sustainability evaluation. Its extraordinarily high rating reflects Konica Minolta’s continuous dedication to sustainability and social responsibility. It is an encouraging external acknowledgement for the company on its path to reducing CO2 emissions throughout the product lifecycle by 80% until 2050, compared to the fiscal year 2005 level.

Since companies are becoming increasingly aware of their global responsibility, in today’s business world, being able to prove your environmental friendliness and responsible business behaviour is becoming an even greater asset. Companies do not only take their own sustainability into account, but also take their partners along the supply chain into consideration. The relevance of social responsibility and environmental friendliness in procurement and supplier selection is therefore increasing. Hence, ratings like the ecoVadis sustainability report for suppliers are becoming an important and reliable tool for companies to integrate into their supplier selection process.

Konica Minolta among the top one per cent of sustainable companies

With the latest ecoVadis rating, Konica Minolta underlines the company’s role as an outstanding global player in CSR and sustainability. This is the second consecutive Gold rating for Konica Minolta. The results place the company in the top one per cent for sustainability performance and the top three per cent of suppliers in the category of computers and peripheral equipment manufacture. Konica Minolta performed particularly well in the fields of Sustainable Procurement, Labour Practices and Environment.

We are honoured that our efforts to be a beneficial member of society with our business operations, have been recognised and acknowledged through the ecoVadis Gold Rating. This gives us the assurance that we have taken the right path. More importantly, we are not only reducing our CO2 emissions, but are even supporting business partners and others to reduce their CO2 emissions with the expertise we have gained so far.
