Konica Minolta grew its IT Services businesses by 14 percent in financial year 2018
With its IT services and solutions business, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe created a revenue of 257 million Euros in Europe in its financial year 2018 that ended in March 2019. This is a strong increase by 14 percent compared to the previous financial year. This underlines Konica Minolta’s success in consequently following its path towards becoming a leading IT services provider, both through organic growth as well as strategic acquisitions. This rising importance is also reflected in the providers inclusion in Gartners global top 100 IT vendors ranking.
“In Europe, Konica Minolta already has 31.700 IT customers today – and we are winning new ones every day,” says Yoann Fortini, ITS GTM Manager, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. He adds: “This shows that we are able to meet the demands of large and small companies throughout our different national markets with the solutions we provide, including our one-stop IT solution Workplace Hub that we are increasingly selling to and installing for our customers.”
According to Konica Minolta, another key driver for its success in IT is the company’s customer-centric service approach. This customer-centrictiy comes to life in its focus on building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with its customers. A true and firm understanding of each customer, based on an initial full company and environment analysis combined with close collaboration is key, enabling the IT provider to design tailor-made solutions that can effectively be integrated in its existing systems and processes.

This customer-centric approach is Konica Minolta’s recipe for success across all of its business fields and laid the basis for its strong position in its conventional office printing market.
In fact, our existing customer base in office printing trusting in our solutions and services is a key factor for our success in IT as well. 11 percent of these customers are now relying on Konica Minolta also as a provider for IT services.
These so called ‘hybrid customers’ are an important pillar of Konica Minolta’s growth. They are a driving force behind the fact that entire revenue of IT services was 534 million Euros in the financial year 2018, including the single IT services revenue as well as the IT services and MFP and printer revenue from hybrid customers. This is an increase of 37 percent compared to 2017’s financial year. To further strenghten its position as a full-flegded IT service provider, Konica Minolta has continued its investments in strategic mergers and acquisitions in the past financial year, particularly in Europe. Highlights were the acquisition of the Belgium based IT company Aurelium, the Spanish IT services provider Grupo Meridian as well as seven subsidiaries of SEQUOÏA in France, a leading dealer in Konica Minolta’s network with a particularly strong presence in Grand-Est and Reunion.
