Prokom’s Global Conference 2018 Attracts Unprecedented Interest
Prokom, Konica Minolta’s user community for production print providers, has today announced its second global conference in Budapest, Hungary, June 6 and 7, is already oversubscribed with more than 250 participants confirmed.
We had planned to welcome 200 customers. Already, though, we have more than 260 confirmed attendees. The unprecedented interest and year-on-year growth shows that the event is a highly valuable addition to Konica Minolta users’ calendar.
What is particularly exciting to see is Asian Pacific customers joining us for the first time and a larger interest from Eastern Europe. This demonstrates that Prokom is becoming a truly global community.
This year’s conference will also host an informal KM-1 user group on the evening of the first day. Dubbed the “Swiss Army” knife of the printing industry because it has so many uses, the Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 can easily be integrated into offset and digital environments with productivity of up to 3,000 sheets per hour simplex on a range of media.
Highlights at this year’s conference include Kevin Gaskell giving his view on ‘The path to extraordinary performance’. Kevin, who has worked with iconic brands, such as Porsche, BMW and Lamborghini, believes that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary results. Francois Martin, a Senior Graphic Industry Consultant and Digital Print Evangelist who spent 12 years with HP, will detail how attendees can ensure they are ‘Taking advantage of today’s changing world of print’. Also presenting are Marco Boer, Vice President of I.T. Strategies, who has more than 25 years’ experience advising and guiding senior executives of Fortune 1000 and smaller innovative companies in emerging digital printing markets and Miles Hilton-Barber whose undertaking of extreme endurance events has inspired both his business and personal lives.
